Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that he has taken very seriously the issue of protecting the constitutional rights of Dalits and other communities who have been historically discriminated against socially, culturally, politically and economically.

In the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday, the Prime Minister said that the government is aware of the problems of neglected, oppressed, Dalit class upliftment development committee, plaintiff development committee and backward class upliftment development committee.

Prime Minister Dahal clarified that the government will take the initiative to establish a Dalit Development Authority in consultation with civil organizations active in the Dalit area, civic leaders and the National Dalit Commission.

He said that the government is trying to make the necessary arrangements for the operation of Chaurzahari Airport in Rukum West.
