KATHMANDU, SEP 11 - Top Iranian journalist Abbas Jafari has gone missing since September 7 after his kayak capsized in the Trishuli River at Mugling - Narayanghat area.
His wife Farkhondeh Sadegh and friends are currently in Nepal to search for Jafar, according to a press statement issued by Jafari’s friend and tourism entrepreneur Tejendra Khadka. The kayak company has also joined the search.
Jafari, 51, has visited Nepal many times. He is learnt to be very fond of trekking in the Himalayan region of Nepal. He also has been promoting Nepal with various articles and news about Nepal in the Middle East. His wife Sadegh is the first successful Iranian female to scale the Mount Everest.
