The Chinese embassy in Pakistan has confirmed that five Chinese citizens and one Pakistani were killed in a terrorist attack in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province on Tuesday. The attack took place at 1 pm on Tuesday.
According to the embassy, terrorists attacked the vehicle of the Dasu hydropower project being built by a Chinese company in the province. This incident took place in Sangla area of the province.
Emphasizing that the embassy should take practical and effective measures for the safety of Chinese citizens, organizations and projects in Pakistan, the Pakistani side has drawn attention to prevent such incidents from happening again. No group has yet claimed the
attack. President Asif Ali Zardari has also condemned this incident.
