Controversy over civil liberties: recalling the leadership, non-departmental ministers taking responsibility

On Thursday, Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has given charge to two MPs of Civil Liberation Party, who were earlier ministers without department, on the decision and priority of the parliamentary party. The leader of the party Ghanshyam Chaudhary responded on Wednesday that he does not accept the decision of the party and supports the current government.

Chief Minister Shah has given Laxman Kishore Choudhary the responsibility of Social Development and Khusiram Dagaura Tharu as the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment . Both of them have taken charge of the ministry on Thursday . Both of them were appointed as non-departmental ministers on the last week of February.

Party central president Ranjita Shrestha Chaudhary chaired the meeting held in Tikapur on Wednesday to withdraw support from Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah government had decided . But after some central members and MPs of the party announced that they will not accept the decision, the controversy has intensified.

President Chaudhary is in favor of returning the support to the current government and Resham Chaudhary is in favor of continuing to support. Chief Minister Shah has taken the strategy of maintaining the government by giving most of the MPs of that party positions by using this issue of civil emancipation. Five members of Civil Liberation Party, which has seven MPs, have been made ministers.
