Nisikhola bus accident: Injured says the driver's negligence caused the accident

According to him, the driver increased the speed of the vehicle saying that he would avoid the traffic jam at Ranikot after being delayed at Rukum while the passengers were waiting. Even when the border of Rukum and Baglung reached Patihalne, the speed of the vehicle did not slow down. After the car, I I was holding on to my seat,' he said, 'The road leading from Patihalne to Nisikhola is very winding and downhill. Instead of driving a little slower on the downhills, the passengers continued to slow down. The vehicle fell as the driver failed to turn the curve.'

Injured Dasaratha has injuries on his nose, mouth and head. He is being treated in the emergency room of the hospital along with other injured people. In the emergency room, some of the injured are crying out in pain, while others are grieving with grim faces. A team of health workers including doctors has been deployed for their treatment.

A Nepali from Rukum Paschim Musikot Municipality-1 said that he had taken a car to Kathmandu to buy goods for the shop and to meet his relatives in the same place. He said that after the vehicle went out of control, some passengers tried to jump but were unsuccessful.

'Some passengers tried to jump thinking that the car would overturn . But the vehicle fell down the road,' he said. He said that he did not know anything for some time after the bus fell. After a while, when he came to his senses, there were only dead bodies and injured people around. Don't go hand in hand at once . I got up and helped to take out the injured who were crushed by trees and stones.'

The injured including him were rescued by the police and after normal treatment in Burtibang Baglung was brought at night. According to him, many people sitting on the front side of the vehicle have died.

Hemraj KC of Rukum Paschim Triveni Rural Municipality-1, who is being treated in the emergency room along with Dasharath, has injuries on his head and nose and his left hand is not moving well. He also said that the accident happened due to the negligence of the driver.

'I was in the back seat of the car . After the car went out of control, I reached the door to pull it out. But the bus fell before opening the door,' he said. He said that he did not know anything after the bus overturned. 'When I came to my senses, the body was covered by a tree . If his friend had not rescued him, he would probably have died there,' he said. According to him, when they came to their senses, some of them were stuck in black and some of the injured were screaming.

Those injured in the accident are being treated by Dhaulagiri Hospital through the Disaster Management Team. Shanti Bhandari, the information officer of the hospital, said that 21 injured people are currently being treated at the hospital. According to him, seven people have been referred to Pokhara. He said that the health of many of the injured is improving. Bhandari said that the condition of the injured who were sent to Pokhara is serious.

Wagmati Pradesh 01-006 B 3879 18-year-old Lucky Pun Magar of Dang died in a bus accident, 27-year-old Binita KC of Rukum West Musikot-1, driver Babiddel Nepali of Rukum West Musikot Municipality-2, Ratamata, driver Babiddel Nepali of Musikot Municipality-4 Solabang. 35-year-old Tika KC, Kalpana KC of Musikot Municipality-3 Sankh, Mansingh Vick aka Subash Gautam, driver of Rolpa house, Geeta Thapa of Gorkha house, Sujan Maharjan of Lalitpur and 25-year-old Vikram Pariyar of Rumalbara, Rukumpurpur Sisne Rural Municipality-5, District Police Office Baglung. Deputy Superintendent Madan KC informed.

The bus fell down about 150 meters from the road. Seven people died on the spot and two died during treatment at Burtibang Primary Health Center.

Most of the deaths are from Rukum . He said that the bodies of seven people who died on the spot were collected and sent to Rukum on Monday night. The bodies of two people have been kept at Burtibang Primary Health Center. There were 37 passengers on the bus .
