Asmita wins against Sanjumaya in national boxing

Sushma defeated Madhesh's Manisha Rai and Asmita defeated APF's Sanjumaya Thing in the women's 50 kg event at Rakhep Covered Hall on Thursday. In 54 kg, Sonia Baduwal of Gandaki Province, Nirmala Aidy of Sudurpaschim Province and Lalumaya Khatri Chhetri of Army defeated Nanja Budha Magar of APF to confirm their place in the semi-finals. In women's 57 kg, Lalita Basnet of Lumbini defeated Diksha Rai of Gandaki to reach the semi-finals. In the same weight group, Narika Rai from Koshi region also reached the semi-finals.

Natisa Ranamgar of Wagmati Province defeated Tulsi Bhandari of Karnali and Sangeeta Sunar of APF defeated Lakshmi Gharti Magar of Police in the women's 60 kg competition jointly organized by Veer Ganeshman Singh Sports Committee and Nepal Boxing Federation.

In women's 66 kg, Sanjita Choudhary of Far West defeated Trishna Gurung of Bagmati and Vinita Thapa Magar of APF defeated Numa Sawaden of Koshi and in 75 kg Junmaya Tharu of Lumbini defeated Jeshika Shrestha of Gandaki and secured a place in the semi-finals. Army's Trisha Jabegu also reached the semi-finals in women's 75 kg.

In men's 63.5 kg, Lumbini's Anil Kumar Pun defeated Koshi's Achlis Shahi to set the semi-finals. Other 3 players have already reached the semi-finals on Wednesday. In men's 71kg, Bharat Chand from Far West defeated Karnali's Pasang Ijam Subba and Army's Dan Bahadur Darlami Magar defeated Gandaki's Nishan Gurung, in 80kg Karnali's Manoj Tamang defeated Samir Newar from Koshi and Bagmati's Pasang Sherpa defeated Gandaki's Tarjan Ghartimagar, in 92kg APF's Ravin Nepal defeated Karnali's Sandeep Gyawali and Army's Mahendra KC defeated Koshi's Shrestha Ganesh. And Pawan Moktan of Army over 92 kg, Sandeep Hamal of Karnali and Sunil Shrestha of Gandaki defeated Sujan Thapa Magar of Lumbini and made it to the last four.
