Lakshmi Budha has been unanimously elected as the president of Nepal Communist Party (UML) from the ninth district convention of Kanchanpur. Budha, who was previously acting president, was unanimously made president by the ninth assembly.
In the presence of UML president KP Sharma Oli, the office bearers along with the president took the oath of office and secrecy on Monday night.
The presiding committee formed during the election has discussed with all the candidates aspirants and unanimously elected the office bearers along with the district leadership.
On that occasion, President Oli instructed to concentrate the district leadership for the party's 'Mission-84'. Stating that everyone should emphasize on strengthening the party, he urged them to work on liberating them from factionalism. Last Thursday, the ninth district convention was inaugurated by President Oli himself.
