Congress question to the Prime Minister: Why did you appoint Lamichhane as Home Minister so that there would be a conflict of interest?

In the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, the Congress said that despite not being a member of the cooperative, Lamichhane has withdrawn funds from the cooperatives opened in major cities of the country and these cooperatives are in trouble .

The Congress has questioned the Prime Minister about making Lamichhane the Home Minister while the CIB of Nepal Police is proceeding with the investigation. Congress MP Deepak Giri said, 'Why has the Prime Minister appointed Lamichhane as Home Minister so that there is a conflict of interest now? He had to come to the House and answer, not outside by the fireside. Has the Prime Minister disrespected or respected the Parliament before coming here and making his point?'

Lamichhane has demanded the resignation of the Home Minister for illegally taking money from large cooperatives in Pokhara, Butwal and Kathmandu. MP Giri said that while Lamichhane is being kept as Home Minister, the case against co-operative fraud will not go forward. "Cooperatives are not allowed to deal with non-members and if found to be doing so, action will be taken according to the law," he said.

Giri said that Jibi Rai had embezzled the money of savers by opening cooperatives in the big cities of the country . Giri said that Lamichhane, who was Rai's business partner at that time, had a direct role in the cooperative fraud. It is our intention to resign. Why did you appoint Lamichhane as Home Minister so that there would be a conflict of interest?, Congress MP Giri demanded.
