Smart Village Gold Cup: Bhunikhel and Friendship Finals

On Wednesday at Swargbhoomi Rangshala, Bhunikhel claimed the title after defeating the defending champion Benisahar Youth Society by 3-1. Friendship beat Laliguras Youth Club Bhujung 1-0 .

Bhujung, who lifted the prestigious Triveni Cup of 8 lakh prize money last December, was defeated in the semi-finals in Ghalegaon.

In the second minute of the game, Sunil Gole of Bhunikhel scored a goal and gave the team the lead. When foreign player William Richard added a goal within 5 minutes, the lead of the game widened .

In the 74th minute of the game, Bensihar Youth got a penalty opportunity when a Bhuni Khel player handled inside the box. Jai Gurung scored a penalty. After that, Sunil Gole of Bhuni Khel added a goal in the last time i.e. in the 79th minute and won the team 3-1 . Goalkeeper Santosh Mahat of Bhunikhel was declared the player of the match.

In the next match against Laligurans Bhujung, the goal scored by Bikki Chamling Rai of Friendship in the 29th minute of the first half became decisive. He was declared the player of the match. The

final match will take place on Thursday . Along with the title, the winning team will win a prize of Rs 500,555. The runner-up will get Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand 3 55 . Ganga Bahadur Ghale, the coordinator of Smart Village Ghalegaon, the organizing tourism management committee, said that the top scorers and the best players will get 10,000 rupees each.
