Nepal Child Organization in the heart of Mahendranagar market has leased about one bigha of land for a decade and a half. The land allocated for the construction of children's garden has been leased to different people from 2054 to 2064.

Studies are being done to clear the encroached land

At present, 66 shuttered shops and shops have been built on that land. Those whose lease period has expired are also doing business. Most of the lease period has expired. Some are paying the rent and some are not.

District Administration Office has started study and monitoring to remove encroachment on government land. During the same Wednesday, the team of Assistant Chief District Officer Dharmaraj Joshi and Chief Administrative Officer of Bhimdatta Municipality Mahesh Bam found this while studying and monitoring. "In the land of the children's organization, business is being done like a street, and it has been leased to one another," Assistant Prajia Joshi said, "If it is not vacated immediately, it will become complicated." Said it was wrong.

Not only the land of the children's organization, but also the land in front of the property office, surveyor's office and the transport management office were also found to be encroached during the investigation. The canal in front of the Malpot and surveyor's office has also been mixed and the houses have been built.

The monitoring team has shown that 32 shutters and towers have been constructed in that area. Out of which 7 are rented from 2,000 to 15,000 per month. "The said land has not been leased or rented from anywhere," Assistant Prajia Joshi said, "only 45 rupees has been paid to the municipality daily." All local levels have requested details of encroached land from government offices. Prazia Gopal Kumar Adhikari said that some have submitted the details and some have not.

According to the plan to vacate the encroached land in Mahendranagar market area in the first phase, the administration has started the study work, according to Prazia Adhikari. On Thursday, this issue was discussed with the public representatives, security agencies and stakeholders. "One more step should be to remove the encroachment after discussing with everyone," Prazia Adhikari said.

There is not much discussion about the land for urban development in the heart of Mahendranagar market. Study and monitoring have been conducted many times to vacate the area where the house has been illegally leased. The case filed by the authority in the special court against the officials of various working committees of the city development committee on the charge of illegal lease and rent is under consideration.
