A police station building has been constructed in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-6, Bahundanda, Lamjung. Lamjung police chief DSP Min Bahadur Ghale said that the building of the police station was constructed at a cost of 30 million 10 lakh 49 thousand 678 rupees 32 paise.
According to him, a 2 storied building has been constructed on an area of 5 ropani 8 annas 2 paisa 1 dam. The building has 9 rooms including detention room 2. The newly constructed building was inaugurated by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Engineer Fadindra Baral, Head of Physical Infrastructure Directorate of Nepal Police Headquarters. The
event was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sharda Prasad Choudhary, Acting Chief of Gandaki Province Police Office Pokhara, Chief District Officer Buddha Bahadur Gurung, Vice Chairman of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality Junamaya Thapa, Chief Soldier of Nepal Army Chitra Bahadur Karki, DSP Engineer Dhruv Adhikari of Nepal Police Technical Team and others. .
2079 District Police Chief DSP Ghale said that the construction work of the building was completed by Krischal Construction Pvt. According to him, the police station, which was displaced during the war, has been restored with the restoration of peace. He said that the police, who were staying in a rented house of the locals, moved to a new building. There are currently 6 policemen living in that police station under the command of Asai.
The policeman, who has been living in a narrow house on rent, has now moved to his own new house. This will improve service delivery. Citizens will also get services easily, he said.
