The current winter session of the Wagmati State Assembly has ended. On the recommendation of the Wagmati Council of Ministers, Provincial Chief Yadab Sharma has announced that the current session of the State Assembly has ended from 12 pm on Wednesday.
Shortly after the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Wednesday recommended to the provincial chief for the end of the session, the provincial chief Sharma announced that the provincial assembly meeting has ended in accordance with the clause 2 of Article 183 of the Constitution of Nepal.
There is a constitutional provision to call and end the session of the provincial assembly by the head of the province on the recommendation of the provincial government cabinet meeting. Secretary of the Provincial Assembly Krishnahari Khadka informed that the letter regarding the end of the session of the Provincial Assembly has been received from the office of the Provincial Chief Minister.
It is understood that the state government will convene the annual budget session at the end of this month. Spokesman of the government and Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Ganganarayan Shrestha informed that the government will soon convene another session for the pre-budget discussion, policy and program and preparation of the budget for the coming fiscal year 081/82.
