There was a clash between the protesting locals and the police in Aurhi Rural Municipality of Dhanusha. There was a clash with the police when they tried to remove the protesting locals by blocking the road section of Aurhi Rural Municipality-1 Poudeshwar.
Dhanusha District Police Office spokesperson DSP Ranjan Ava said that 3 policemen were injured in the clash. When the situation became tense, the police fired 9 tear gas shells.
10 days ago, two girls from Paudeshwar went missing. Two young men of Hanspur municipality, claiming to have been abducted, protested against the police for not searching them.
The case is going on against the boy's side. We have arrested 5 people and prosecuted the case of kidnapping and body hostage. The search for both girls is going on, said DSP Ava.
After the girl's side blocked the road in the morning and started protesting, the police returned them home through negotiation. However, in the afternoon they again blocked the road and threw stones at the police and vandalized them, police spokesperson Ava said. The crowd dispersed after the tear gas was fired. Now the situation is under control," he said.
