12 houses were burnt when fire broke out in Warahpokhari village of Khotang

12 houses have been destroyed by fire in Warahpokhari Rural Municipality. 12 houses were burnt down in the village of Dhuseni, Dandakhark, Raktamala community forest located in Ward No. 1 of the municipality.
According to District Police Office Khotang Deputy Superintendent of Police Purushottam Khadka, the fire that broke out in the local Raktmala community forest around 4 pm on Wednesday destroyed one house of Subas Thapa Magar of local Bhirgaon, two houses and one matan of Mohanlal Thapa Magar, one house and one matan of Madan Thapa Magar. Bhadrasin Magar's one house and two cowsheds, Purna Bahadur Thapa Magar's one house and three matan, Gangamaya Magar's one house and two matan and 40 goats, half a tola of gold and 50,000 cash were destroyed by fire.
A two-storied house of local Hom Bahadur Katwal and a two-storied house of Padam Bahadur Katwal have been destroyed by the fire in Dandakharak community forest. Similarly, one house of Suman Magar of Khorsane, one house of Chakumar Rai, one house of Lekhraj Khatiwada of Gahte, one kitchen house of Bam Bahadur Magar of Bhanjyang and one goat cage were destroyed by fire . DSP Khadka said that Chisapani police inspector Raju Niraula's team was deployed at the scene for details about the damage caused in the fire.
The fires in various community forests have not yet been brought under control. DSP Khadka said that Nepal Police, Armed Police and locals are working for control. Khadka said that detailed information about the damage is yet to come.
