Shashank Koirala, the leader of Nepali Congress, has alleged that the party organization has suffered losses many times when the party president kept the power in his hands. He claimed that party president Sher Bahadur Deuba's weakness is that the Congress could not take the leadership even though it is a big party.
He said that Deuba did not consider the suggestion that he had repeatedly given to the district and constituency level party presidents to delegate authority.
'In the local level election, I took the name of a worker for the post of deputy mayor of a place, the chairman asked if he was my man or not, I replied that since you are the party chairman, all the workers belong to you,' he said. said
He said that even in the local level elections, the very existence of the Congress is going to be in danger if the tickets are casted on the basis of factions without delegation of authority. He argued that it was because of the party president that the convention of sister organizations like Navy Sangh and Tarun Dal could not be held.
Koirala opined that there should be no alliance with any party in any election to be held after this, but cooperation can be done regarding the formation of the government.
He commented that there is a problem in the practical implementation of federalism due to the party and its leadership.
Speaking at a press conference held on Saturday in Fidim of Panchthar, Koirala expressed the view that delegation of authority should not be compromised to strengthen federalism.
Political parties and their leadership focused on building and destroying governments and alliances, said that development and good governance in the country have been overshadowed.
Koirala said that due to the proportional election system in the House of Representatives, this situation occurred when no party reached the majority.
Speaking at the same press conference, Congress central member and MP Ramhari Khatiwada said that all the power of the party will be concentrated in the election of Ilam-2.
Khatiwada said that UML is trying to maintain its hereditary legacy and that it is easy for Congress to win in Awa elections.
He said that Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal had more hand in the changes in the ruling coalition than the Congress.
