Suprem co-op called for investigation on Home Minister Lamichhane

The savers of the cooperative in Butwal and Bhairahawa have put pressure on Lamichhane, who is accused of embezzling two crore rupees from the organization, for an investigation. The victims who participated in the demonstration organized by the Supreme Cooperative Victims Struggle Committee demanded the arrest and action of GB Rai, the former president of the organization involved in the embezzlement of the funds of the cooperative.

The victims gathered at the highway intersection in Butwal and demonstrated with placards stating various demands. The victim reached the traffic intersection of Butwal shouting slogans from the highway intersection.

The participants in the demonstration demanded the reason why the Home Minister could not arrest the main accused GB Rai. The victims, who did not mention the name of the Home Minister in the previous protest program, demanded an investigation on Lamichhane on Tuesday. In the indictment submitted by the District Public Prosecutor's Office to the District Court on Monday, it has been mentioned that Lamichhane has embezzled two million rupees from the cooperative.

After the news that the amount was embezzled was published, the victims demanded that the Home Minister Lamichhane be investigated. The coordinator of Sangharsh Samiti Vijay Kumar Nepal said that the victims will continue the struggle. He warned that if the demand is not met through the street demonstration, he will go to Kathmandu and surround the Federal House.
