The National Independent Party (RASWPA), a component of the ruling coalition, is announcing its candidate for the by-election of the vacant Ilam-2 constituency in the House of Representatives on Saturday.

Ilam-2 by-election: RSVP announcing candidates today

The Congress has recommended the names of convention representative Bhesraj Acharya, former parliamentarian Keshav Thapa, district president Dambar Khadka, Constituent Assembly member Nagendra Kumal, leader Ramesh Lingden, Chandramaya Limbu and Chandrakala Rai.

President of Congress State Committee Uddhav Thapa said that it will take a few days to finalize the name of the candidate. Dakendrasin Thegim has announced his candidacy on behalf of the agitating identityists, demanding that the name of the province should be with identification. CK Raut's Madhesh-centric party Rashtriya Janmat Party has decided to field a candidate in the hills for the first time. He has already decided to make Premdeep Thamsuhang a candidate. Maoists have not decided on the issue of making a candidate. A leader claimed that there is a possibility that the Maoists will help the UML.
