Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chan Song had a courtesy call on Finance Minister Varshman Pun Anant on Monday. In a meeting at the Ministry at Singhdarbar, Ambassador Chan congratulated Minister Pun for assuming the responsibility of Finance Minister for the second time and wished him success in his tenure.
In the meeting, Minister Pun urged to speed up the work of development projects under construction with Chinese cooperation and investment and expressed his belief that the projects in the process will move forward.
China's economic development and poverty alleviation work done in the last decade can be exemplary for the world, he said, adding that China's experience can be relevant for Nepal as well.
Thanking China for its support in various fields including the physical development of Nepal since the past, Pun mentioned that there is some relaxation in Nepal's economy and as the people's aspirations for development are high, more support than usual is expected.
