JCB is strengthening its presence in Nepal

JCB, the world's leading brand in construction equipment manufacturing, is going to strengthen its presence in Nepal through its official distributor, MAW Earth Movers.

JCB is strengthening its presence in Nepal

In order to support the Nepali market, JCB India has introduced a warranty scheme of 5 years or 10,000 hours for some of the tagged excavators. MAW Earth Movers has been distributing JCB construction equipment in Nepal for the past two decades.

'Nepal is an important market for us in the South Asian region,' said JCB India Chief Executive Officer Deepak Shetty, who is visiting Nepal, 'Nepal has a new identity and position in this region. We have always been presenting the latest technology and advanced products here for our customers.

MAW's head office is in Kathmandu and there are 32 branch offices and three operator training institutes across Nepal. Where youth are trained to operate JCB machines. MAW is soon opening its fourth operator training center in Nepal at Chitwan.

There are more than 10,500 equipment of JCB in operation in Nepal. Out of which jackhoe loaders, excavators, wild loaders and telehandlers are famous. Bishnu Aggarwal, principal dealer of MAW, said that apart from helping customers with world-class JCB equipment, they are very proud to provide employment opportunities to Nepalese youth in the country.

MAW currently employs around 500 people and has also invested in three world-class training centers for drivers. "In these operator training centers, drivers are taught how to operate JCB machines safely," he said. "Until now, we have trained nearly 5,000 drivers."
