The much awaited film 'Gaon Inya Bato' has been selected for the 14th Beijing International Film Festival. The Beijing Film Festival will be held from April 19 to April 22.
Directed by Naveen Subba, this film was previously selected at the Gothenburg Film Festival in Sweden. Similarly, the world premiere of the film was held at the Toronto Film Festival.
Produced by Amod Rai, this film stars actors Dayahang Rai, Pashupati Rai, Prem Subba, Keshav Rai and Raj Thapa.
Mahesh Rai and director Subba have written the screenplay of the film. This film, shot by Josh Heram, has previously gone to Busan, Sao Paulo, India's Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival, etc. The film will be screened in Nepal from May 18.
Hong Kong-based producer Amod Rai says his dream of showing a film in China has come true. During two decades of stay with the Hong Kong-Chinese community, it was a big dream to show our Nepali film story to this community, today this dream has come true! This is the first Nepali film to be selected for the Beijing International Film Festival, he said.
