The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, fell by 16.82 points to 2,652 points on Monday. NEPSE decreased by 0.83 points compared to the previous day. NEPSE, which decreased by 2.5 points on Sunday, decreased by double digits on Monday.
On Monday, along with NEPSE, the transaction amount also decreased. Out of those traded on that day, the share price of 52 companies increased, 184 decreased and the share price of the remaining 8 companies remained stable. On that day, 72 lakh 23 thousand 773 shares were bought and sold in 50 thousand 524 transactions.
In those purchases, shares worth 2 billion 79 crore 75 lakh rupees have been traded. The transaction amount is less than the previous day. Shares worth 3 billion 637 million rupees were traded last Sunday.
In recent days, the stock market has been continuously falling. This is why the size of the stock market has decreased and the total market capitalization has remained at 31 trillion 81 billion.
