Rohit's century, Nepal's win over West Indies 'A'

Rohit, who scored a half-century in 27 balls, completed his century in 47 balls. This is his first century in Twenty20. Rohit played 54 balls and hit 10 fours and 6 sixes. He was dismissed on the fifth ball of the 19th over. After Pratish Jisi hit a four on the first ball, in the last over Nepal needed to score 9 runs to win. After Gulshan Jha and Pratish took 1-1 runs in the first two balls, Gulshan hit consecutive fours in the next two balls. Gulshan remained unbeaten scoring 9 runs in 4 balls and Pratish 5 runs in 2 balls. After this victory, Nepal has taken the lead in the five-match series.

opener Anil Shah was dismissed for 5 runs in 9 balls. Another opener Kushal Bhurtel scored 16 runs in 12 balls. Bhurtel, who was out for zero in the last three matches, hit 3 fours . Kushal Malle scored 16 runs off 15 balls. He was run out after hitting 1 four and a six.

Rohit and Dipendrasingh Airi shared a partnership of 64 runs in 33 balls for the fourth wicket . Dipendra played 2 fours and 1 six off 18 balls and scored 24 runs. Vivek Yadav got out after scoring 7 runs in 6 balls. West Indies 'A' Obed McCoy took 2 wickets for 34 in 4 overs and Matthew Forde for 49 runs in 4 overs.

Earlier, the Caribbean team, which was invited to bat after Nepal won the toss, scored 204 runs after losing 5 wickets. The West Indies team showed its strength by adding 50 runs in the first 4 overs and 77 runs in the first 6 overs of the power play. West Indies 'A' made a huge score after Alik Ethanje's offensive and captain Roston Chase pulled the innings.

opener Ethanje scored 47 runs from 25 balls and hit 5 fours and 3 sixes. In the first over, Kamalsingh Airey bowled Johnson Charles for a wicket, but Ethanje maintained his aggressive innings . Andrew Fletcher, who came in place of Charles, hit Dipendrasingh Airy for a six in a row, but in the next over, he was run out by captain Rohit Paudel's sharp throw.

Ethanje and Chase shared a partnership of 43 runs for the third wicket. Chase and Casey Carty put on a 60-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Karti scored 38 runs off 26 balls hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes.

Avinash, Rohit, Dipendra and Kamal took 1 wicket each for Nepal, who were playing without experienced fast bowlers Sompal Kami and Karan KC. Avinash spent only 28 runs in 4 overs while Dipendra gave 30 runs in 3 overs. Rohit conceded 10 runs in his only over. Kamal spent 53 runs in 3 overs. Lalit Rajvanshi spent 34 runs in 4 overs.

Both teams are playing this series to prepare for the Twenty20 World Cup in America and West Indies next year. The second match of the series will be held on Sunday.
