Dhavika Santoshi is the brand ambassador of Budhanilkanth

Suman Tamang, coordinator of the board, informed Santoshi Shrestha at a press conference on Friday that she was selected as the brand ambassador of the sports festival.

Santoshi, a runner living in Budhanilkanth Municipality-6, is the 13th Green and Bangabandhu Dhaka Marathon gold winner. Coordinator Tamang said that it was a feeling of pride to announce Santoshi, an athlete who has enhanced the reputation of the nation, as the brand ambassador of the sports festival. He promised to prepare a calendar to make Budhanilkanth a sports hub.

coordinator Tamang said that keeping in mind the safety of the participating players, an insurance worth 5 lakh rupees will be provided for 7 days, adding that local and migrant players will have the opportunity to participate in the tournament.

Expressing her gratitude to the organizers for making her a brand ambassador, Santoshi urged the entire town to encourage the athletes as the sports festival is a good 'platform' for athletes to show their talent.

Mayor Mitharam Adhikari of Budhanilkanth Municipality released the t-shirt of the sports festival. The logo and promo were also made public. The mayor officer said that the municipality allocated the budget for sports after administration and education, giving priority to sports.

8 different games are included in the festival starting from May 15. There will be competition in Karate, Taekwondo, Muwanthai, Kung Fu, Basketball, Football, Badminton and Road Race. There will be exhibition games of wrestling and some traditional games. The sports festival will continue till May 19.
