One person has died and another person has been injured in a road accident in West Nawalparasi on the east-west highway.
The accident took place when a truck with Indian number UP 55 BT 2546 hit a scooter with number Lu 26 P 928 at Bhumahi Chowk located in Sunwal municipality ward number-12.
According to DSP Resham Bohora of the District Police Office, 55-year-old Karna Bahadur Gurung of Sunwal 13 and 37-year-old Kamala Gharti Magar who were riding the scooter were injured.
Among the injured, Kamala Gharti Magar died at Prithvichandra Hospital Parasi during treatment. Shravan Yadav from India, the driver of the collision vehicle, has been detained by the police.
