Board spokesperson Pradyumna Prasad Upadhyay informed that the investment board meeting decided to increase investment in two projects. Additional investment equal to 6 billion 634 million has been approved for the Huasin Narayani cement project. It has been decided to form a negotiation committee under the coordination of the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board to prepare a draft of the investment agreement of Dabur Nepal Pvt Ltd.

Dabur Nepal has proposed to reinvest 9.68 billion for capacity expansion and product diversification. The detailed project report of the said project was received and after the assessment of the board, the negotiation process was carried forward. After the

meeting, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal directed the investment conference to be more result-oriented rather than limited to formalities. Prime Minister Dahal instructed the ministry to form a special unit to facilitate the mobilization of equity capital and loans from domestic, foreign and private sectors.

Stating that the prosperity of the country will be achieved only through the partnership of the public and private sectors, Prime Minister Dahal said that since it is not possible to facilitate the private sector with ancient thinking and ancient political and legal arrangements, the government has proceeded with the work of amending laws to remove obstacles to investment. In the

meeting, the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board, Sushil Bhatt, informed about the status of implementation of the decision of the previous board meeting and all aspects of the preparation of the third investment conference. The investment conference will be held on May 16 and 17.
