Neeraj Tamang equaled the course record and won the Surya Nepal Kathmandu Open, the first tournament of his career, beating Bhuvan Nagarkoti by one stroke with an overall score of 8 under 264.

On the last day of Kathmandu Open, the seventh tournament under Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2023/24, Pro Neeraj of Dharan equaled Shivram Shrestha's course record with an impressive score of 8 under 60. Shivaram scored 8 under in the NPGA Presidents Cup in 2015.

At the start of play on Friday, Neeraj was seven strokes behind three-day leader Bhuvan. However, with the performance of 8 under, he got a prize of 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees along with the title.
