Prof. Bhuvan Nagarkoti has a 6-stroke lead with an overall score of 7-under 197 in the Surya Nepal Kathmandu Open. Dinesh Prajapati trailed Dinesh Prajapati by 6 strokes after Bhuvan's superb 5-under 63 on Thursday.
The previous day, both had taken the lead. Dinesh played 1 over 69 on Thursday. He finished second overall with a 1-under 203. Toranvikram Shahi and Neeraj Tamang finished joint third with an even par of 207 overall. Toran shot a day-best 7-under 61. Neeraj ended the third day with a 1-under 67.
Overall, Dhan Bahadur Thapa and Sanjay Lama finished fifth with a score of 2 over 206. Dhan shot a 2-under 66 and Sanjay shot an even-par 68. Overall, Subas Tamang, Jairam Shrestha and Ravi Khadka shared the joint seventh place with 3 over 207. Subas scored an even par 68, Jayaram scored a 1 over 69 and Ravi scored a 3 over 71.
On the amateur side, Sadbhava Acharya climbed to the top with a score of 6 over 210. He played a 3 over 71 to finish 5 strokes behind Tasi Tshiring. Tassie shot 9 over 77 to finish second overall with 11 over 215. Rahul Vishwakarma is third overall with 23 overs and 227. He shot a 7 over 75 on Thursday.
Bhuvan, who took the lead from the first day, had an excellent start on Thursday as well. He hit birdies on the first, second, fifth and sixth holes, and got an eagle success on the 5-par fourth hole. The front nine finished at 6 under 28. He completed the back nine in 1 over 35. He hit bogeys on the 11th and 17th holes and faced a double bogey on the par 4 16th hole. He saved 1-1 shots on the 12th, 14th and 18th holes.
Dinesh finished the front nine at 1 over 35 with a birdie on the second hole and a bogey on the fifth hole. After this, he saved shots on the 10th, 13th and 14th holes. After facing a triple bogey on the 11th hole, he completed the back nine in even par 34.
