Chief Minister of Karnali Province Yamlal Kandel has received the vote of confidence. 23 MPs from two parties gave their vote of confidence to Chief Minister Kandel in the Provincial Assembly meeting held on Thursday afternoon.
23 votes were cast in favor of Kandel and 12 votes were cast against. One vote is neutral.
36 out of 40 MPs were present. 10 MPs from CPN-UML and 13 MPs from CPN-Maoist Center voted in favor of Kandel.
Despite being in the central coalition, 1 MP of the United Socialist Party remained neutral.
