Banke police have seized a large quantity of cigarettes being illegally transported to India through Banke's Jamunah border crossing.
Police seized 1,280 packets of Khukuri cigarettes (worth approximately one lakh 58 thousand 720) from Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city-15 Jamunah.
According to the police, the police team deployed from the area police office Jamunah also detained three women with cigarettes while they were illegally exporting from Nepal to India.
DSP Narayan Dangi, spokesperson of District Police Office Banke, said that three women involved in transporting cigarettes were arrested. According to the police, all the three women who were arrested with the seized cigarettes have been sent to the customs office.
