"The municipality has decided to provide free health insurance to parents who enroll their children in class 1 for the academic session 2081 in public schools within the municipality," Ranamar said, "It is also desired that children should be educated in public schools."

Mayor Ranamar says that the municipality has introduced a new policy of free health insurance to increase the decreasing number of students in public schools. "Recently, only parents with poor financial conditions are sending their children to public schools," he said, "I believe that this will help families with poor financial conditions and also help to awaken the feeling that children should be educated in government schools." The municipality has allocated a budget of 1 million for the current financial year to implement the

program. He said that if the allocated budget is insufficient, it can be increased. According to the allocated budget, two hundred and eighty five families within the municipality will benefit from the free health insurance program along with student enrollment.

He said that this program will provide free health and education for children studying in public schools.

Mayor Ranamar informed that during the school enrollment drive being conducted in the municipality, school teachers and officials of the school management committee are going door-to-door informing the parents about the program introduced by the municipality. 'There is also a situation where many people with weak economic conditions are unable to get health insurance,' he said. , 'I think that with this program that we have brought, they will have health insurance and the school enrollment campaign will also be effective .'

The municipality has sent orientation to all school principals about free health insurance and sent it to parents' homes. "With the health insurance provided by the municipality, up to five members of a family will receive free health care services," he said, "in the case of parents who have health insurance, the program is not applicable." He said that even those who have come from other municipalities and settled temporarily in Gorkha Municipality will get the facility of free health insurance if they enroll their children in public schools.

The municipality has previously decided that people holding public positions within the municipality must send their children to public schools.
