A woman and a girl were burnt to death in Kapileshwar in Janakpurdham. Although the police speculated that the woman and the girl who died of burns could be their mother and daughter, it has not been confirmed.

Bhuvneshwar Tiwari, Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Dhanusha, said that a woman and a girl died after burning in Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city-16. Superintendent of Police Tiwari said that the woman died of burns on Wednesday evening and the girl was found in an injured condition and died while taking most of her body to the hospital for treatment.

The deceased woman is 23-year-old Priyanka Mahato of Manrasisa Municipality-2 of Mahottari and the identity of the 9-month-old girl has not been identified, according to District Police Office Dhanusha. The body is burnt and cannot be identified. The body has been kept at the Provincial Hospital Janakpur for post-mortem. The police are investigating the incident.
