The co-driver died after being run over by the wheel of a bus on the Chainpur Nundhaki road section in Chainpur municipality-6 zero point. 30-year-old Manoj Khadka of Dhankuta Municipality-6 Patlekhola died on Tuesday after being run over by a bus.
At 7.30 am on Tuesday morning, the co-driver Khadka was seriously injured when he got down from the door of the bus No. 1 B 3077 going from Nundhaki to Itahari. DSP Ghanshyam Shrestha said that while taking him to the hospital for treatment, he died on the way.
33-year-old driver Kumar Upadhyay of Dhankuta's Sangurigarhi rural municipality-1, who is also a bus owner, was arrested by the area police office Chainpur. The police are investigating him further.
