Daman Bahadur Bhandari of CPN-UML has won a double vote lead in the by-election held in Provincial Assembly Constituency No.-1.

In Bajhang-1 (1), Bhandari of UML has a double vote lead

Twenty-four Pathibhara rural municipality ward no. Bhandari has got 757 votes after the counting of votes of 1 and 2. Abhishek Bahadur Singh of Nepali Congress got 380 votes. The difference between UML and Congress is 377.

Likewise, Dil Bahadur Singh of CPN United Socialist Party has got 115 votes, Janak Bahadur Budha of CPN Maoist Center has 226 votes and Kishore Kumar Khadka of Rashtriya Prajatantra Party has got 9 votes.

According to Chief Electoral Officer Sudarshan Lamichhane, counting of votes has started from Chhabispathivera Rural Municipality. Counting of votes is going on in two places at the same time. In the by-election held on Saturday, 49.12 percent i.e. 30 thousand 328 votes were cast here. Here, 11 candidates from different political parties are competing for the state assembly member.
