Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane has claimed that there is no delay in providing relief to the fire victims. In the discussion program on 'forests, wildfires and fire current situation, risks and immediate priorities' held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday, he said that the priority of the government is that there should be no delay in the relief.
Home Minister Lamichhane said, 'During an emergency, the government is not in a situation where it cannot feed two to four hundred citizens. Home Minister Lamichhane said that the capacity of the fire brigade should be increased. The government has given permission to build buildings up to 22 floors. But is the capacity of the fire brigade up to that level or not? It seems that resources should be increased for this. Burns ward should be expanded in security agency hospitals,' he said.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority under the Ministry of Home Affairs, in the last 24 hours, there have been fires in 46 places, fires in 43 places and one person has died due to burns.
