Chief of Army Staff Prabhuram Sharma has said that cyber defense system development is inevitable. Chief of Army Staff Sharma said this while addressing the fourth edition of the one-day National Cyber Security Conference-2081 conducted with the aim of identifying the necessary initiatives to monitor, regulate and control cyber crime, which is emerging as a challenge at the national and international level.
According to the Nepali Army, the development of a strong cyber defense system is indispensable not only for the protection of digital assets but also for the protection of the nation's sovereignty, the protection of important technical infrastructures and the trust of citizens towards the government.
In a situation where the risk of cyber attacks is increasing, Sharma emphasized the need for coordination and cooperation of all concerned agencies to protect sensitive information and communications technology infrastructures while minimizing, eliminating and eliminating cyber attacks and their risks.
The conference was conducted in two stages and was attended by representatives of various ministries, Nepali Army, other security agencies and government and non-government agencies.
