Talks between Prime Minister Dahal and the bilateral delegation led by the Emir of Qatar

Prime Minister Dahal's Secretariat has informed that the high-level talks between the two countries are being held at Solti Hotel in the capital. On behalf of Nepal, Prime Minister Dahal, Deputy Prime Ministers Raghuveer Mahaseth, Narayankaji Shrestha, Finance Minister Varshman Pun, Communications Minister Rekha Sharma, Labor Minister DP Aryal and others are participating in the talks. Similarly, high officials including the Qatari Emir are present.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that in the talks between the Qatari Emir and the bilateral delegation led by Prime Minister Dahal, there will be deliberations on the overall aspect of Nepal-Qatar relations as well as regional and international issues. After the talks, bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding will be signed in their presence.

A memorandum of understanding will be signed between Nepal and Qatar on cooperation in the fields of youth and sports cooperation, higher education and scientific research. A memorandum of understanding on news exchange will also be signed between the National News Agency (NAS) and the Qatar News Agency.

Amrit Bahadur Rai, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that there is a program to sign a memorandum of understanding between the two countries on art and culture, Attorney General's office and foreign affairs.

Prime Minister Dahal will host a luncheon in honor of the Qatari Emir . Amir Thani of Qatar arrived here on Tuesday afternoon at the invitation of President Ramchandra Poudel. The Qatari special guest is scheduled to depart from Kathmandu this afternoon.
