Both claims of Chief Minister in Far West rejected, call again

With the latest developments in the selection of the Chief Minister, some legal complications are also seen to arise. Earlier, the provincial chief had given a deadline of 10 days and called upon the members of the provincial assembly who can get a majority from two or more parties to submit their claims to the chief minister by Sunday.

He claims that 28 MPs have reached his side. On the other hand, along with UML, Maoist and independent MPs, Ranjita Shrestha MP Kailash Chaudhary also submitted a claim. He was supported by 23 people including UML, Maoists and independent MPs. In the 53-member state assembly, at least 27 votes of state assembly members are required to appoint the chief minister.

Congress Parliamentary Party Leader and Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah commented that the United Socialist Party has lost its ground after deciding to withdraw its support earlier.

Resham Choudhary supporters Laxmankishore group is angry with the process done by the state chief. As they have prepared to go to court for legal remedies, it seems that the claimants will have to face some confusion.
