APR 14 - Central, Eastern to vie for Ncell Youth U-15 title

JANAKPUR: Dipesh Yonjen scored a brace as Central Region Team beat Armed Police Force (APF) 2-0 to advance for the final of the Ncell Youth U-15 Football Tournament at Janakpur on Sunday. Meanwhile, in the other semi-final match, Eastern Region Team defeated Far-Western Region Team 4-2 in tiebreaker. The match advanced toward penalties after the regulation time ended in a 1-1 stalemate.  

Aatma Ram, Shreyans enter quarter-finals

KATHMANDU: Aatma Ram Karki defeated Pranaya Karki with 6-4, 7-5 straight sets while Shreyans Karki overwhelmed Esup Bikram Singh 6-0, 6-0 to advance for the quarter-finals of the men’s singles category in the second Citizens Bank Tennis Tournament at the National Sports Council Tennis Court on Sunday. Similarly, Chewang Lama, Kamal Bhandari, Santosh Khatri, Raju Shrestha, Dawa Sherpa and Jitendra Pariyal emerged victorious in their respective matches to enter quarter-finals. Meanwhile, Dr. Singha Bahadur Basnet overcame Dr. Indrajit Rai 8-0 whereas a walkover from Mohan Bahadur Shahi provided Victori Samsher Rana berth in the final of the Veteran over-65 category.
