KATHMANDU: Birgunj Youth Academy grasped a narrow 1-0 win over Swayambhu Club in the Red Bull Martyrs Memorial ‘B’ Division League at Halchowk Stadium on Sunday. Chaturdhan Chaudhary scored the all important goal in the 23rd minute. The meeting between Boys’ Club and Boys’ Union Club ended in a goalless draw.

KATHMANDU: Western Region began the Invitational International Women Volleyball Championship journey with a bang as they thumped Easter Region in straight sets. After winning first set 25-8, Western had no hard time as they wrapped other sets with 24-14 and 25-11. Six teams, including one from India have participated in the tournament. The winning team will take away Rs 100,000.
