DHANGADI, DEC 26 - In the match which was vital for the deciding the third spot host Far-west region failed to live up to their expectation. Had they won the match the hosts could have claimed the third spot but Central Region held them to a goalless stalemate to the disappointment of their supporters.
The loss means Far-west must beat Tribhuvan Army. Army have 13 points from six matches while the hosts have 11 from as many matches. Central region have seven points.
According to Far-west’s coach Lalit Chand injury to their main striker Janaki Bohara hampered their cause. “It was a must win match for us but the opponents played counter attack and we lost our way,” Chand explained.  In the other match, Mid-west region thumped Western region 2-0. Sila Khadka and Dibya Rana scored a goal each for Mid-west. APF top the table with 18 points while Police are second with 16 points.
