Musical magic with Kendraka

KATHMANDU, DEC 26 - In a bid to offer audiences in Nepal a taste of contemporary fusion, with a global twist, Antiquity Premium Whisky has brought in the band Kendraka to perform at venues in Kathmandu and Pokhara. The first performance is scheduled for December 28 at Hotel de l’Annapurna in Durbar Marg and the second on December 29 at Hotel Fishtail in Pokhara.
Based in Kolkata, Kendraka is a fusion band that dabbles in a number of genres, including Indian classical, jazz, funk, rhythm and blues, blending these into soulful sounds that have come to characterise the band in the years that they’ve been active.
Comprising of Karick Das Baul on vocals and the khamak, Maarten Visser on saxophone, Mainak ‘Bumpy’ Nag Chowdhury on bass guitar and vocals, Gaurab ‘Gaboo’ Chatterjee on drums and percussions and Nishad Pandey on guitars, Kendraka’s music transcends the boundaries of space, time and genre, and is certain to be loved by music-enthusiasts in Nepal.

The events start at 7 pm on both days
