Killer tusker shot at

POST REPORT

CHITWAN, DEC 19 - Dhrube, Chitwan’s marauding elephant, was shot at on Wednesday evening. Officials sent out to hunt down the pachyderm cornered it near the Tiger Tops Resort and opened fire at around 6 pm. A source in the district confirmed the shooting and said a Nepal Army team has been searching for the injured tusker. However, till the Post went to press, it was yet to find the animal.
