Manisha undergoes six-hour surgery
The 42-year-old was admitted to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. Manisha spent more than six hours in the operation theatre, where Dr Dennis Chi and his team performed the surgery until around 11:30pm local time.
A family member, Mridula Koirala, who was present at the center, said Manisha kept a brave face and told her family not to worry as she was being taken into the operation theatre.
Her family members—father, mother and brother—were not immediately allowed to visit Manisha after the operation. It is learnt that she is to remain in the center for a few weeks before she could return home.
