KATHMANDU, NOV 25 - The Nepali Congress is likely to name its President, Sushil Koirala, as the prime ministerial candidate to lead a national unity government. Top NC leaders have started internal deliberations to name a PM candidate.
According to a highly-placed source at the party, Koirala is likely to be named unopposed after senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba said he is not interested in becoming the PM.
“We will name our prime ministerial candidate hours after other parties agree to form an NC-led government,” Nepali Congress leader Arjun Narsingh KC said. (PR)
