KATHMANDU, NOV 08 - Nepali private sector has low confidence in the business environment of the country, shows asurvey.
The survey, first of its kind, held by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry was based on responses of 403 FNCCI member organisations and business entities.
The research has found out country's Business Confidence Index (BCI) at 39.7 percent--index below 50 is considered a low confidence rating.
However, there is still some optimism amongst the private sector that the business climate will improve in future. The survey shows 42 percent respondents expect the overall business situation will improve in the future.
