Islington conducts convocation

KATHMANDU, NOV 08 - Islington College in association with London Metropolitan University (LMU) organised a convocation ceremony in the Capital on Thursday.

As many as 180 students from three different faculties—Bsc in Computing, Bsc in Computer Networking and Bachelors in IT Security—who passed out from the college in 2012 received graduate degrees in the convocation.

Dominic Brown, dean of the Faculty of Computing in LMU, and Benson Soong, academic director of Islington, jointly handed over certificates to the graduates. Around half a dozen students who topped their faculties too were awarded on the occasion.

Established 15 years ago to provide international education within the country, Islington has been running Diploma and Advance Diploma courses in Information Technology and Management with an affiliation to Singapore-based Informatics Education Limited.

The college is also offering Bachelors in Business Admin-istration and Information Technology courses being affiliated with LMU.
