KATHMANDU: Litterateur Janak Prasad Humagain was remembered on Saturday on the occasion of his fifth death anniversary. Speaking at a programme organised in the Capital by the Humagain community, Vice Chancellor of Nepal Academy Ganga Prasad Upreti recalled time spent with Humagain and lauded his contributions to Nepali language and literature. Humagain has written books of 35 creative collections.
Nembang releases book
KATHMANDU: Chairman of Constituent Assembly Subas Nembang on Saturday released a book “Untiring Journey of the Republic” written by Khagendranath Sharma. Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Nembang hailed Sharma for highlighting different political changes on the book. He said consensus among the political parties was a must to conclude the peace process and promulgate the new constitution. Journalist Tirtha Koirala expressed hope that the book would press leaders to end political instability. Author Sharma said the book was a collection of different articles on political developments and experiences. He said he wrote the book with an aim of contributing to the institutionalisation of republic in the country.
Book on effective learning
KATHMANDU: A book entitled “Sudridh Kaksha Kotha Ka Lagi Sudridh Sikai” (Effective Teaching for Effective Classroom) was released amid a function in the Capital on Friday. British educationist Aden Barlow is the author of the book. (PR)
