Gagan Thapa silences Maoists
KATHMANDU: In what was perhaps his best political rhetoric in parliament so far, Nepali Congress lawmaker Gagan Thapa questioned the revolutionary credentials of the Maoist leadership—leaving the usually argumentative and vibrant Maoist lawmakers defenceless. Thapa said the Maoists were not practicing what they preached.
PM’s Patna visit
KATHMANDU: In what appears to be following the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao’s recent visit to Kathmandu, PM Baburam Bhattarai is embarking on a six-hour visit to Patna in Bihar on February 17.
