KATHMANDU, FEB 04 -
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Jayanta Prasad on Saturday inaugurated a school building of the Ratan Pandey Secondary School constructed with Indian assistance of Rs 20.75 million at Arba in Kaski.
The new building of one of the oldest schools in the district will provide better facilities to over 400 students. The building is expected to assist students in their pursuit for education and subsequently raise enrolment in the school, an Indian Embassy statement said.
The ambassador later inaugurated an eye camp organised by the Nepal-Netra Jyoti Sangh on the school premises for students of schools in the area.
Spectacles/vision devices were distributed free of cost to children in need.
In addition to the school building, two projects have already been completed with Indian assistance of Rs 80.98 million and work is going on for three projects at a cost of Rs 90.24 million in the district.
