Health volunteers warned

POST REPORT
BAITADI, JAN 25 -
Baitadi District Public Health Office has directed all the female community health volunteers (FCHVs) in the district to build latrines at their homes.

The office has also warned of dismissing the FCHVs from their posts if the directive was not implemented. The warning follows complaints that some of the FCHVs do not have toilets at home.

DPHO Chief Dr Gunaraj Awasthi said the directive was issued in view that the health situation of a village improves only through the positive role of FCHVs.

There are 831 FCHVs under 68 health centres in the district.
